The following data files are used by the scripts and programs used by this web site. They are free to download for your own use. If you use the bookie's odds for any tipping strategies or other study we would be interested in finding out more about it from you.

Contains a list of all the year's matches, with results if available. It is in a simple regular format useful for computers to parse. Lines beginning with a # symbol should be treated as comments. Ignoring the initial header, each game line has the format:

For matches which have been played:

round.match hometeam awayteam "ground" yyyymmdd:hhmm #(hg hb ht) (ag ab at)

For matches which have not been played yet:

The Bookie's Odds

Contains a list of the "bookies" odds that online sports betting web sites were paying on Friday beforeany matches were played. They are given as a probability for the home team winning. The match numbers are based on those in the Fixture file. Any section of a line beginning with a # symbol should treat the rest of the line as a comment. Each game line has the format:

round.match homeprobability

The 1997 oods were generated on 1 October 1998 from old records. No guarantee of their correctness is offered. (Thanks to John John van der Touw for some corrections to home/away ordering).
